Denise McPherson is an American contemporary painter based in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Inspired by her environment, Denise enjoys painting the beauty of the natural landscape. Whether it’s a dramatic sunset over a Lowcountry salt marsh, a peaceful sunrise over the sea, or endless green fields under a blue country sky, you can find themes solitude, nostalgia, and timelessness in her work.

In addition to painting the southern landscape, Denise also enjoys capturing nostalgic portraits of everyday life. From a tender moment between a mother and child to children playing on the beach, she loves celebrating the little moments and memories that make life so magical. These “candid snapshots in time” as she thinks of them help us remember to savor the moment and enjoy the blessing of every day.

Denise’s work can be found in private collections across the United States. When she’s not painting, she enjoys baking, gardening, homeschooling her daughter and twin boys, and spending time outside with her family.
